Now a little bit about this series.

The inspiration for the series came from the fact that I have fifty-five books (55!) in the combined Grant/Ramsay series, and even I can no longer remember everything. I have so many different notebooks, software notes, journals, and story bibles that tracking down any one bit of information had become a true labor.

The first issue? I couldn’t recall the ages and hair colors of all the bairns. There are simply too many of them. I often wished I had a book with just the bairns listed so I could easily retrieve their ages and characteristics.

Then along came the faeries, the swords, the angels, and seers. Who had what power? I lost track.

So I decided to go through all fifty-five (55!) books and copy and paste the relevant scenes into a reference file. My next thought? Wouldn’t my readers love it if I did the same thing with Alex Grant and Logan Ramsay? Would they buy a book like that?

I’m hoping you’ll say yes!

The project grew from there. As of this writing, I have plans for the following highlight books, to be titled The Best of:

My Favorite Scenes

 

That’s right. It quickly went from four books to thirteen, and a few of them have too many favorite scenes to fit in one volume. Logan wins for the longest, but he would tell you that it was only right.

I may not have chosen your favorite, but each collection had to be long enough to reach novella size. You loved Drew, Quade, or Aedan more? Not enough for a book. There are other possibilities, if you, my beloved readers, ask for them. The best of the weddings, the Camerons, the villains? Maybe someday in the future, but it will be a while before I add any because this was a long, tedious project. Long. Did I say long? It took me forever!

I tried to stick to a few rules:

1. There is no set order to read the series. You can read in any order. I also will have a random release schedule, not necessarily in the order listed.
2. I tried to take only three or four scenes from the character’s main book. I took the scenes that most represented his or her personality or an important stage in their life.
3. Excerpts are listed exactly as they appeared in each book. All those comma errors? I didn’t change them. Other than a few glaring typos, nothing was changed.
4. I did my best to orient the reader to each scene by adding a line or two in the beginning of each scene. Chapters are listed with the title of each book so you can reference them if you like.
5. The series and books are ordered by timeline. In other words, Highland Healers comes before Highland Swords, which is not how I released them.

Did I miss your favorite scene? Probably. Understand that I had thirteen tabs open on my laptop as I slowly perused each book.

I will also add a trigger warning here as a reminder that Medieval times were brutal.

After Alex will be Brenna's story in March, followed by Loki's story in April. That's all I have planned for now. I decided to release opposite clans so you are not reading the same scenes. A Grant, a Ramsay, etc.
